All data comes from daily snapshots of Steam's official public APIs: player counts (Steam Web API), top seller rankings (Steam Store API), review counts and sentiment (Steam Reviews API), and game news feeds. Each snapshot is captured at 12:00 AM UTC and permanently stored for historical analysis.

Can games that released mid-month still rank highly?

Yes! Our algorithm normalizes position bonuses and consistency scores per day, ensuring fairness to late entries. A game releasing late in the month that achieves exceptional scores and high daily rankings can absolutely compete for top monthly rankings.
